Hello Austin! I’m excited to bring a slice of Technical.ly to Texas.
Last week brought news of one of the largest Austin startup raises in history, along with both pros and cons for robotaxis. Chip manufacturers are getting a new talent pipeline thanks to a local trade school. And as data center development sparks local pushback, state lawmakers are beginning to examine a regulatory role.
Heading to the East Coast in early May, by any chance? There’s a chance to play the world’s largest video game in Philadelphia.
From Central Texas and beyond, here are some stories to start your week.
